RYA YACHTMASTER THEORY

40 Hours (8 Evenings and 1 weekend)

Advanced training for more experienced skippers building on the Day Skipper course.

This course equips you to navigate safely on coastal and offshore passages. It allows some time for revision of the basics and then moves on to advanced navigation techniques.The course can be taken intensively or as a sequence of evening classes with the exams scheduled to when you ready to take them.

Chart work and pilotage
Course shaping and plotting
Collision regulations
Safety onboard
Meteorology
Passage planning

Sailors wishing to achieve Yachtmaster level should strongly consider the theory course prior to their practical exam.
