40 Hours (8 Evenings and 1 weekend)
This course is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to help them navigate and pilot a boat around coastal waters within daylight hours.
You will receive a course pack that includes a chart, plotter, course handbook, exercises and an electronic chart plotter CD.
Topics covered:
- Gear stowage and vitualling
- Basic chart work and pilotage skills
- Electronic charts
- Collision regulations
- Emergency and safety procedures including distress calls, use of flares, safety harnesses, lifejackets and liferafts, lights and day shapes.
