Pelican Racing can now Geocast to your mobile or PC, LIVE!
Pelican Racing and Inca-X have been working hard over the last 18 months to pioneer and test the latest geocasting technology via mobile phones. Now you can watch your friends go sailing live from the comfort of your living room!
The software we’ve developed allows any windows media mobile phone to record and even stream live video and GPS data anywhere in the world, providing there’s a cellular network available.
Imagine the ease and accessibility the software gives those left ashore. Simply go to the Pelican Racing website www.pelican-racing.co.ukEN-US"> and click on ‘live tracking’. Viewers can select which boat they want to watch live by using their PC at home or with friends in a local café. The video and GPS allow the action to come straight to your home computer anywhere in the world. Watch, rewind and analyse all your friends or family’s experiences, tactical choices and boat handling as they make their way around the racecourse.
The live tracking software also uploads and stores previous footage from all the units (mobiles). When you’ve finished a session on the water, come ashore and talk through the action, laugh at your mishaps and learn from your mistakes.
